New reports claim that Sony is planning to release three new Walkmans this year. Earlier in February Sony launched the Sony NW-A35. The NW-A35 was not able to attract a significant share of the audience as the smartphones are now the primary way to listen to music but there are a few people who are interested in a separate device to listen to their favorite music and a Walkman is a perfect device for them.
Sony is now going to launch another Walkman this year. Sony’s development map has three new Walkmans codenamed as Jupiter (Model number- NW-A45, NW-A46 & NW-A47).
Recently the device has been ed through the FCC, Talking about the new models, they are rumored to have a slightly bigger battery than the previously launched NW-A35. The display of the NW-A35 was a bit small at 3.1-inches as per today’s standard.
The NW-A35 had just 16GB of storage, but this time Sony will bring in three models the NW-A45, A46 & A47. All the three devices will have 2x memory boost from the previous one as in; the NW-A45 will offer 16 GB of Storage, the NW-A46 will offer 32 GB while the top of the line NW-A47 will offer 64 GB of Internal Storage.
The new models will have a better battery life; the previous model had a play time of above 45 Hrs. These models will have a minimum 50 Hrs to 60 Hrs of battery life which can be a reason why someone will grab a new Walkman. It will enable one to have the Walkman work for full 2 – 3 Weeks with a single charge which the smartphones aren’t yet capable of.
Even the charging time of the Walkman will improve a lot as per the source claims. What do you think about the new Walkman from Sony? Do make a comment in the comment section below.
